'Age that I wish to get back to' tag and a blog award

The sweet Bilbo just honored me with this award. I told him that I was an XXXtraordinary blogger, as I am sure others would agree with me.

Thanks Bilbo, it is so sweet of you to acknowledge me and my blog!!

And while we are still talking about blog awards, although every single blogger that I have in my blogroll deserve this award, on this particular day I would like to give out this award to:
- Rob Baiton for his consistency in updating his blog with many interesting and witty daily posts,
- Mbak Elyani for her inspiring blog posts and to show me how a woman can be so graceful and not boring (a skills which I have not been able to master..lol),
- GJ for being the charming and dashing banana loving monkey blogger who has a penchant for Batik,
- Loraine aka yoyen for showing us how married women can be inspirational and intelligent in her wonderful blog,
last but not least,
- Miss Lai lai whose blog posts make me smile, think and sometimes, sad...

Bravo to you guys!!

Now for the tag I have gotten from Woelank, in which I have been tagged to write about a particular age that if possible, I could go back to..

The rules are:

  • Title: Age That I Wish To Go Back To
  • Requirement: Write about the one age that you wish to go back to and why?
  • Tag Mode: 5 bloggers
  • 1st - You list 5 bloggers you want to tag and link their blogs
  • 2nd - Let the blogger you want to tag know they been tagged by comment in their blog or etc.

  • I wish to go back to when I was 9, (not naming the year here lol) but on one condition: with the knowledge and wisdom I have now.

I won't get into details, but I think that age was crucial for me, it was the start of my demise.
That was also the age I was when our family moved to New Zealand. I have many fond memories of those days and I would love to be able to relive it all again. One of my fondest memories was when I was a student at Kelson School, I have a teacher named Don Crampton who is by far the best teacher I have ever had! This here is a picture of me and my class (If you see closely, the year has been erased, this is so that I could 'protect my interests')

Those were the good old days.

Some of you maybe wondering what I meant with "the start of my demise", well, I have made some stupid decisions in my life, and I know that it all started when I was 9. If I could do it all again, I might have been what I wanted to be by the time I was 21. Now I am several years older than 21 (yeah, I keep on lying to myself..) and I still haven't achieved what I wanted.

I haven't a lot to say about my 'stupid decisions', at least, not here anyway. But despite those decisions, I still have plenty to be grateful about, as you can see from my 100 things posts.

I know I'm sounding a bit incoherent today, I apologize. It is the result of the late night I had with mr. husband and a bottle of wine.

Ok, so the bloggers that I am tagging now for this are: The writer, Diny Patterson, Katadia, Ecky and Dotsson.

Enjoy reminiscing your earlier days guys!

Oh Rima..I'm so honoured =) Being an amateur blogger, it's an honour to be awarded by a blogger such as yours.

Right - will attempt to not post too many sad post..;-)
    Mwah!

    whoa rima..
    you're so.. cute... hahahahaha...
you had a curly hair back then?

    rimafauzi said...

Miss Lai lai: I am too an amateur blogger!! lol
but do not stop posting sad posts too, I mean, that is what makes your blog such a good read, all emotions in one.. :)

woelank: I do have curly hair, never had straight hair. I do a lot of 'blow tarik' when I want it straight, hence my pictures with straight hair.. but as you can see in the 'about me' picture, that i my natural curls right there!

ps: thanks for saying i look cute then!! I've always thought of myself as 'udah gendut, item, kriting, bibir dower, IDUP lagi' kinda girl back then lol..

    Thanks for the award!

This is one of the reasons that I think you are a God!

Although let's not go the way of Scientology and start up a church or some other suitably named place of worship :D

Nice photo of you at 9. You look like you could have almost passed as a Maori :D Nah, maybe if you had made some different decisions back then you could have been captain of the All Blacks Women's Rugby Team!

Once again, thanks for recognizing my humble blog with an award. It is my first so it will always be special -- kind of like losing your virginity I suppose!

Enjoy your Sunday (which also happens to be the name of Nicole Kidman's latest addition).

Rima.... my first time being tagged. Thank you thank you thank you.... will try to write the post when the babies are in bed tonight! :)

So, do you speak English with a New Zealand accent? I spent one summer living in a dorm full of final year New Zealanders students. It sounded exotic (in the sense of lord of the rings kind of landscape he..he..). ;)

    You did look cute!!!!!

    rimafauzi said...

Rob Baiton: Rob, you really should see mr. husband and tell him that I am a God. He should have some sense put in him. lol

People always thought I was maori back then!
You have a lovely sunday as well!

Katadia: I did have NZ accent once upon a time, but not anymore. Too much american TV and the time I spent living in Manhattan has erased it all. a shame, huh?

I think credit goes back to you for infecting bloggers to share love and inspiration that will inspire us to write more and often. :) Can I bestow this award to five more bloggers! :)

Rima, You made a monkey man feel so terrific, I have been dragging my knuckles on the ground since first reading of my nomination. I shall sit for a while in my jungle with my batik holding on tight to my banana and contemplate the age I wish to get back to.

    Will update soon!!!

    Rima, I've done the tag!

    Thanks for tagged me

    accordingtod said...

    first and foremost: congrats!!

then the question, what age would i like to go back to? well it depends... is it just the age i had most fun with, or a point in time i need to go back to 'fix' something? then, would i know if i was supposed to undo it? cause what's the point going back in time trying to fix something but not knowing it... just going to be repeated anyway.

btw lagi, blog ini mulai pake 3 bahasa yah?! Inggris, Indonesia, Perancis. hehehe, bahkan Jakarta Post aja cuma punya 1 bahasa, only English...ya iya lah!!! LOL

    rimafauzi said...

My most memorable days were when living in Holland from 4-7 years old. Strangely enough, holland seems has a magnet towards me, I keep on returning, both to visit and reside. It makes me believe that the world turns following your mind. After holland, we moved to Syria and it was also nice, but I don't have too strong feelings towards that country.

You were a cute litte girl, Rima. Did you straightened your hair? Your had nice curls. Do you also have almost photographic memory about your wonderful childhood down there? Because I do and each time I return to Holland, I would go to my elementary school and sit at one of the benches to replay all the goo times. Now I sound like an old lady ... LOL.

@Rima: It'll be back online once I got my paycheck (my first job in America, yay!)

    ;)

    rimafauzi said...

Santi D: Ah.. you lived there?? Yeah, I guess places where we spent (some) of our childhood will always have some kind of a magnet. It's the same thing with NZ for me, and yeah, my memories are like a clear video that I can play in my head. I just havent been fortunate enough to be able to go there yet..
No I have never straighten my hair, I just blow dry it straight myself.. but come rain, and so does my curls.. lol

Miedy: Be sure to come back online! and congrats on your new job!!!
